Adsense Arbitrage: Why You Should Never Put All Your Eggs in One Basket
There's pain and there's pain that comes with regret.
The regret that; "i should've done this" or "i shouldn't have done that".
especially when you knew exactly why it happened.
Google banned two of my accounts, instantly and here's why, and what i've learnt and why i could get paid what i earned or not.
2 at a go! I wasn't using same bank accounts on both, but it was about something else which i shared below.
i've had Adsense account bans in the past, i've even had two accounts banned but not same time (i have a video on youtube about it sef), but two accounts being banned exact seconds, exact minute, just totally blew my mind.
and that has brought me to a new discovery of something never to do again.
I knew o! but i had to re-learn it the hard way.
The Adsense specialist might have clicked a few buttons to achieve their aim, but over here, they invariably slashed someone's monthly salary, threatened someone's income source, even reduce what Facebook earns as i have now lost two account from the rest i run ads to.
I think Adsense should review some of their practices.
It's not fair.
A Publisher who's been with you for many years, has stayed compliant, you saw a pointer that may be against your policy, it takes nothing to reach out to them to see why, or maybe fix the issue since it wasn't affecting advertisers, but instead they choose the rather irreversible option-- Just ban him forever.
Why?
This is why i honestly think, Adsense Arbitrage shouldn't be a model anyone would rely on after a certain age, or bank on with all your resources especially those who do partnership.
it can send you to the village faster than anything else.
This is tens of millions gone in a single swoop. I lost millions that could get me a car.
Or is it that they read my post about wanting to buy a Chinese car and 4hours later they said, come here boy, now now.
My Joy here is, i still have several others accounts in the pipeline, about 8 i could instantly roll back into the sequence and start running ads to and some are actively running and could earn.
Adsense, if you're reading this please don't touch it o, tomorrow is pay day, else i will use all these my anger and summon "ogugu" for you guys.
Over the years, i've learnt my lessons, never to own or use only one Adsense at a time, I split resources, and this has saved me a colossal loss. But we keep learning never to fall into such unforeseen again.
This one came as a shocker, because it's been over 3years since i had my Adsense account banned. What i did in just less than 5days was only to scale my earnings and traffic, applying other traffic strategy that are still clean,
I even posted same on facebook that i'm currently ramping up ads and scaling things instead of leaving funding and scaling for my team members,
Only if i had known, i would have waited till 22nd before doing whatever i wanted to scale.
Unbeknownst, some of the methods raised a flag, or the spike in sudden growth triggered a check, sadly i made a grave mistake using one pipeline for those two Adsense domains, causing one flag to affect the other.
They said: "Site Behavior: Navigation:" was the violation i broke.
Guess what, this has some sub headings as usual, and it's not always the "Navigation" they point, it's something else.
As someone who have helped people pin-point the issue as to this type of flag and why they shouldn't do such, I felt even more bad and pained because all these were very avoidable, chai..
It could be having as little as "download" in your domain, it could using buttons that spells wrongly to send user to your website, it could be more of which i can;t share her not limited to sub-domaining, and when they find one, they run a referral traffic check across their database and if a similar site uses such-- it's bye bye, like in my case.
I remember 2015 when i got my first ever Adsense ban, i had just started using Adsense on blogs in 2014 and all was fine until they banned me, i froze. As at then i was running with the myth of aged Adsense cannot be banned as the account i had then was a 2006 Adsense gifted to me by a friend.
That 2015 incident wasn't as painful as the 2019 own, when i lost a total of 24K Pounds on one account. I was waiting for the money to roof my Benin residence then. It was such a lot of money back then, i had 16k finalized from previous month and about 8-9k already earned in current month. They thwarted everything, carpenter kept calling me to come roof the house before rain spoils the wood work.
I reached out to everyone i knew, including friends working with Google (but Gmail), and those who attended all Google's conferences, yet, all to no avail. Shishi i no see. They didn't pay me.
That was when i made a resolution never to put all my eggs in one basket.
All those banned ones? No money was paid to me, i didn't even receive payments for my finalized earnings because i made a simple mistake and i'm going to share it below.
With Adsense, when you're banned, like for my issue with "Site Behaviour, Navigation", those are not core policy violation like Invalid traffic or self click, you can still be paid as it didn't affect advertisers and advertisers won't seek refunds.
But when you now go on to "Appeal", their response is usually negative most times bot generated, then your chances to get re-approval after an appeal is like 1 in 1000, very slim (you can do your research), so when you appeal is now rejected, your balances are put on (-) negative, that means you'd rarely get paid.
Once you appeal and it's rejected, your finalized balance is out on negative and once your finalized balance is on negative, say bye bye to being paid.
Avoid all the noise from gooros saying they can help you appeal it, the best is to.....
The way around is, stay still, do nothing, wait after one or two payment cycle, as long as you balances are still positive, you'd get paid (in some cases you may still not get paid but it rarely happens).
The above should answer any question that comes with, what about the money i earned.
It's always a sad one to loss an Adsense account, especially in today's reality where Return on Ads spent is now very low, back then 10m can get you 50m, now if you use 40m to get 50-60m you should be glad.
It's a sad reality.
but we keep learning and documenting.
