The Day I Chose Between Being a "Big Boy" and Being a Businessman

I know you must be wondering what I want to confess. If you read to the end, you can save yourself from the temptation of fraud.

Don’t read or comment on this post if you can’t read to the end.

Someone asked me in my previous post the reason I hate Yahoo Yahoo so much now despite looking like one of them.

Everyone already knows that in Nigeria, every young guy who looks clean is already seen as a yahoo boy. But I am not. And I have never had the thought of becoming one. That’s what makes me “Wisdom Buchi.” I go hard on myself.

Now, what is my CONFESSION all about??…

I just want to confess why I have so much hate for Yahoo Yahoo….

While growing up, I had friends who slept and woke up every day praying to someday become one of the top Yahoo boys. We watched movies, we saw on the streets the big boys and those we believed were the big Yahoo boys.

We loved their lifestyle. We wished we could own their type of cars and spray money like them.

But something happened. From my childhood, I have always thought beyond what my friends think. I think farther than they do.

The first thing I did was to understand how Yahoo works. Where they make the money and how they do it.

I am being sincere. I did all these. I have always wanted to grow and become a big boy, and that was why while my friends were busy watching and admiring those big boys, I had to find out how they do it.

After my research, I found out that these guys create fake accounts on social media or on dating platforms. Most times they use the identity of the opposite gender. A boy using a beautiful girl’s identity to lure white men into online relationships, while frequently requesting money from these men who have money.

It was very interesting knowing how everything works. That was okay. Now I knew.

Then I asked myself…

“Is it better to be the one people steal from the abundance of my wealth, or the one who steals from the abundance of other people’s wealth?”

Remember, I have always wanted to be a big boy. So I needed the best for myself.

Those white men, what is their work?

How do they make their own money?

How did they make so much money that another person from somewhere can steal from their abundance and become rich? Hmm!

That was my thought. I had a deep and interesting discussion with my mind.

Now I started researching how those white men make their money.

That was when I found a platform where white men rent trucks. On that platform, some Yahoo guys had taken advantage of it for fraud. They impersonate top truck renters, advertise themselves, and those looking to rent trucks pay them, believing the truck will be sent after payment. Then these guys disappear and move to the next victim.

If the truck renters make more money than our rich Yahoo boys, does that not mean I should focus on finding a way to open my own truck rental company instead? I have always wanted the best, not the least.

It did not end there.

I had to make another research. The question was, “Among all the richest men in the world, is there any Yahoo boy among the first 200 richest men?”

As of then, there was none.

All the people I found were businessmen with good growth records.

If my dream is to become one of the richest men in the world someday, why then should I enter Yahoo when none of the richest men in the world is a Yahoo boy?

Even when I researched about the youngest richest person in the world, he was also into business and production.

These are the men our rich Yahoo boys steal from.

I chose to be those men, not those who steal from them.

Now I had to make someone my role model. I made Mark Zuckerberg, the owner of Facebook, my wealth-building role model and mentor.

I study everything about him day and night, and I am a Computer Science student because Mark is. I am following his footsteps, and it has been going well for me.

Mark owns Meta as his primary company. I am building Xnovat as my own primary company. And I am making interesting progress in silence.

I talk about my name “Wisdom Buchi” without attaching titles because none of the richest men I know attach titles to their names.

Elon Musk

Larry Page

Bernard Arnault

Jeff Bezos

Mark Zuckerberg

Just their names.

I am making all these points to show you that I truly did what I wrote above.

I live my whole life building “Wisdom Buchi.”

One day, I will appear at my destination.

This is what changed my mindset. I turned and told my friends that I would not be a Yahoo boy. I would grow, build my personal brand with a clean record, build my own company, build my own business, and become one of the richest men in the world. They did not understand me.

From that day, we started having conflicts until all of them isolated me. I grew in very cold loneliness.  Those who know me, know what I'm saying.

Most of them are reading this post. They know what I am saying.

They chose their path while I chose mine.

You may attack me for the next one million years, and I will still be saying the same thing. And that is what makes me Wisdom Buchi.

Choose your own path now.

Choose the one that suits your dream.

Yahoo Yahoo does not suit my own dream.
